Hello,
I'm an IT professional at a music publishing company and in NY and we recently launched a new website. I observed that when you search "Cherry Lane" on Google, the description/blurb under the link says, "[New York] Sheet music and books about pop and rock music." This description though is inaccurate and does not reflect the metadata (description or keywords) from the <meta> tag. I cannot actually find any source for where this description is sourced from and I would like to update this to better represent our website and our company.
Interestingly, the same thing does not happen when searching on Yahoo.com and MSN.com, suggesting to me that this is something specific to how Google is crawling and indexing the document.
Does anyone have any insight on how I can address this issue?
Thanks much,
Rob C.
