The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Installing multiple SSL certificates for one website (default website), with one IPs but different domain names pointing to it.

Asked by ibozc in Secure Socket Layer (SSL) & HTTPS, Microsoft IIS Web Server, Web Servers

Hello Guys,
I have a quick question for you, I have a MS Server 2003 SBS with IIS 6.0 running on it and I'm using default website that has only one IP attached to it and few domain names pointing to it, meaning that the first main domain is ok when user's connect to the site, but when I connect by different domain it gives me a warning that the certificate is not valid. Question is, those domians are totatly different, they are not subdomians of the same domain. I need to have it done this way so that when both domains connect to that server that they should work ok. Now the question is, can i install two seperate SSL certificates on one website or do I have to use multiple domain certificate or do I have to do something else? I have one certificate isntalled right now but I need the second domain to work for me as well. Any advice is greatly apprecaited.
Can I install multiple certificates for one website on IIS 6?

If it is not, is it posible with any other webserver or OS to do that? Have multiple certificates installed on one website. Linux/Apache, etc?

Is it posible to install multiple domain certificate for one website and have those two websites work ok when installed in IIS 6.0

Thanks guys.Start Free Trial
