The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Changing the account under which a Facebook application is managed?

Asked by Igiwwa in Web Development, Web Development Software, WebApplications

A developer who worked with our company created a facebook application for the company and uploaded it to facebook. So the application was uploaded under his facebook account. Now the developer is no longer with the company and naturally, I do not have access to his facebook account. However, I want to make changes to the application. How do I do this?
I don't have a good understanding of how the process works so somebody will need to explain this to me. Can I contact the old developer and ask him to transfer the application to my account so he can't change it but i can going forward? Or is this not possible and I will have to ask the developer to delete the application from his facebook account and then I re-add it from mine (if I have to do this, I will lose all the current users right, is there anyway to notify them)? or is there some other option that i am not aware of?

also, in general, how do companies normally handle this? uploading applications through an individual employee's account is probably not feasible especially when the employee leaves, so do companies create a company wide account with facebook? does facebook allow this? can a company wide account be created for the sole purpose of uploading and maintaining applications?

thanks, let me know if I am not being clear or if you have any questions for me.Start Free Trial
