Enlarge text box on website

Hi Experts.  I am hoping that the experts out there can help me determine how to implement this (if it is possible).  I have a website that is hosted on Homestead and allows html scripting (not sure it allows any others).

Primary goal:
I want to put a few pictures on my website that customers can click "expand" and additional information will be displayed.  Similar to the search boxes here with the arrows on the left:
-> http://books.shop.ebay.com/items/Accessories__W0QQ_catrefZ1QQ_sacatZ45110
Secondary:
-> Or the "expand +" option below the body box of this "Ask Your Question" form!
*If the mouse is moved away from the expansion, the info collapses back.

Can this be done with html?  I am a novice/beginner at best with websites so please be willing to help.  Thank you!

Thanks for the post.  Do I just copy/paste your script above?  I tried to do it and I just see the code when I load it on the site.

<again, novice>  Sorry mate!

it should work when you save this code as a .html file, and you open it in a browser...
D@mn!  I missed the first <

Alright, it works but now it says "click me".  What do I do next?

Disregard....  Alright, I changed the text and added what I needed.  So, how do I set it so that when I click it, the screen doesn't go to the top of my webpage?

@mplungian, you are killing me in that CSS question!  Hilarious!
