The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Create Static Web Page

Although I have been in IT for many years doing application development I have never created any Web Pages.
A friend of mine has a company that would like to establish a very simple web page.  He has given me the text and two jpg's that he wants on the main page.  He even pointed me to a web site that he likes the 'look' of in terms of fonts, background colors, text colors etc..

Other than the front page he has two other requirments:

1. The front page of the website will have links to static pages that contain pricing information for the products that he sells.
2. He would like any visitor to the site to be able to easily send an email to his office.  Preferably by clicking a 'contact us' button.

I know this is about as basic a web site as there is and even know other people that could do it but I want to do it myself.

What tools should I use?  I have an old version of Front Page 2000. I'm just doing this as a favor and a learning experience for myself so I don't want to invest to heavily, hopefully not at all, in the tools needed.

I realize that there is not one right answer on how to appraoch this.  I am looking for feedback and suggestions and will award/split the points among those that are helpful.

I also realize that he will have to select a domain name and a company to host the website.
