I am being ask to create a more dynamic site for CMSC. (
www.cmsc.org ) I have a few questions:
1. What would the learning curve be for someone that has never used Joomla? IF I worked on this sitt, V. 1.5 seems to be the one to use.
2. What would be the time frame for doing this site:
www.cmsc.org The database is huge and could be moved by an IT person (database currently on a separate server).
3. They want a secure login, a way to join, a way to reserve booths, and a way to register for the conference every year. I understand Joomla will do all of this.
4. They want to add/edit content themselves.
6. They want the General Public to access only parts of the site.
7. Is is hard to install PHP and MySql locally so a dynamic site could be completely built before going live.
8. Would Cybersource do the same thing or truestylestsytems.com (I really didn't care for it).
I am completely new and not a regular programmer - know only enough to get in trouble!
