The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.

Hello everyoen, I get this strange error:
ADODB.Field error '80020009'

Either BOF or EOF is True, or the current record has been deleted. Requested operation requires a current record.

/OPICForms/115/115-attach.asp, line 0

It comes from my connection code.  I know my connection string is correct becuase it works on all the other pages except this one... Of cousrse this page is particularly special as it saves attachementns intot he database as blobs...

Here is the connectionc ode, please let me know if you require more code or further explanation
Since the application is so huge I did not wan to clutter the quetsion with too much code, however, I would be more than ahppay to add whatever you think to be necessary to figure out this strange error/;

CODE:

  'Checking to make sure if file was uploaded
   dim objConn, strConnStr

strConnStr = "PROVIDER=MSDASQL;DRIVER={SQL Server}; SERVER=servername; DATABASE=dbName; UID=user;PWD=password;"

      set objConn = server.createObject("ADODB.Connection")
      objConn.ConnectionString = strConnStr
      objConn.Open   'Without this the error says the connection is NOT open

    If fileSize > 0 Then
     Dim rs
      Set rs = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Recordset")
        rs.Open "SELECT * FROM tableName", objConn, 2, 2

        ' Adding data
            if not rs.eof then
                  rs.AddNew
                    rs("File Name") = fileName

                  rs.Update
        end if

rs.Close
Set rs = Nothing

            objConn.Close
              Set objConn = Nothing
