Div does not expand to fit content in FF6.0

This only happens in FF6.0, IE6 seems to be displaying correctly.

I've got a series of divisions, one of which is not expanding to contain its sub-divisions.  The divisions are  "body" (centered) (dark-gray) , "container" (centered) (light-gray), "pagecontent" (left) no-color and only to provide a border and define the margin so I don't have to specify it in every sub div, and "content" (left) blue and contains the text.  Everything works but container isn't expanding to enclose pagecontent or content.

What is keeping the container from expanding?
