I have been developing software professionally since 1992. Before that, I was a chemistry teacher.
At first it was all interactive voice response systems. Then it was interactive teletext. Then it was interactive broadcast television. In 1998, this all blossomed as live auction software, which I guess was the "killer app" for me. In 2001 I started writing Internet and iTV convergence software for a broadcaster in the US, based in a little office in London. After a good run, things petered out in 2004, so in 2005 I started writing software for managed services for e-mail, but in 2007 I was back to writing interactive applications for a handful of US and UK TV and auction companies - from an even smaller office in my cellar. It is an eclectic mix of projects that I work on nowadays, but I am comfortable with things that way.
I live in London, England with my delightful wife and children (boy 1999 and girl 2001).
