I'm a web development consultant utilizing mostly Classic ASP, ASP.Net and SQL Server in my work. For an unschooled and self-taught person, proving that you can do what you can do is a bit difficult. That's why at every opportunity that you can get certified, you take it.  Perhaps, EE is not an industry standard, but hey if somebody like Albert Einstein says this person is ok, wouldn't you believe so?

EE has provided a venue to show your skills and compare it with other people in the industry. Not to compete of course, but to know what else you need to know or if you know enough. Perhaps you can never find scenarios more varied and closer to real world situations than the questions posted here.
