I'm a Java Developer in London dealing with a wide range of front/back office financial applications.

Somewhat bizarrely for a developer I have a PhD in biological sciences - "Investigation into the pathophysiology of epilepsy by electrical stimulation of the human cortex via intracranial electrodes implanted in patients undergoing pre-operative assessment for possible epilepsy surgery".

I specialize in the full stack of Java development: J2SE/J2EE, JSTL/JSP & Servlets, JavaScript, XML/XSLT/XHTML, Tomcat/Jetty/Resin/WebSphere/Apache web servers, Sybase/Oracle/MS-SQL/MySQL databases.
I'm also dabbling a little in C# but that's just for academic curiosity.
