I live in Katy Texas, right on the city limits of Houston. I have been in the IT field professionally for about 5 years now, doing anything from Field Service, to Enterprise support. I have been lucky enough to have been exposed to a very wide variety of computer problems (some more difficult than others), and also managed to fix one or two along the way.

I enjoy this site, because it has probably been one of the biggest learning adventures for me. I lot of the questions I have been able to answer, or offer good assistance in, are from my own experiences. But there is also a good portion of those solutions that I have learned from this site alone. I come here first for any research, and know that the quality of answers will be what I need, from the established Experts around here, that offer their time and knowledge. Thats what makes this site so powerful, and an invaluable resource.

As for the comments, sometimes I will add just a single comment, or a link. Please dont take it as being short, but I like to be able to offer a tip in the right direction, and be there for support if the asker needs further clarification. I personally prefer to learn this way on my own. I like to be able to find the answers on my own. I like to participate in all questions till thier completed. If someone has a different solution, or perhaps start to get the asker on the right track, I will just watch and see how it plays out. Sometimes, Ill just subcribe to a question if there is already ample participation just to see how it ends up...

First and foremost, I come here to help. The points and the awards are fun, but the bottom line is that we come here to offer help, and learn. It's a good feeling when you see someone on the verge of a "format C:" going along asking a last ditch effort to fix an issue, and you are able to offer a swift resolution and make them happy. Please keep in mind that we do this on a strictly volunteer basis, for the love of the site.
