I started working with spreadsheets in 1995 using Lotus 1-2-3 Release 4 while working for the Walt Disney company. I learned all I could and even wrote some LotusScript Macros. In 1996 our office upgraded to Microsoft Excel 5. I couldn't believe anything could be as great as Lotus 1-2-3, but I was wrong. I began to work with VBA Macros when the Excel Laroux Virus hit in late 1996. Our office was hit like every other, but I managed to contain a spreadsheet that had the virus and worked at locating the code that caused this virus to spread. I was amazed at how powerful, yet deviously simple it was. It was at that point I was hooked.
After obtaining my Bachelor's Degree In 1998 from DeVRY University in Kansas City, I left Disney to work for a software company. I have worked in various Business Analyst roles with this company and now reside in the Finance department. In 2005, I developed an internal class instructing fellow associates on the topics of Advanced Excel Formulas, Functions, and VBA Programming. I very much enjoy sharing my 10+ years of spreadsheet knowledge with others and when the time allows I try and answer questions on the web.
