Retired computer techie. Spent last 20 years of my computing career with no hands-on work on computers.
Re-learning how hard it is to program and debug (last serious programming was in Pascal more than 15 years ago).
I started in Algol60 (don't ask any questions about that, I last used it in 1970), then assembler various, Fortran 4, Coral 66 (uniquely British), BCPL (the language in which the Coral66 compiler was written being a compiler support person), Pascal and Prolog.
Then a LONG break to earn more money doing technical supervision. Now learning Java and Linux.
I have various computers, eeepc (Xandros Linux), Windows XP (large portable), Windows 2000, Windows 98 SE(more or less retired), Suse Linux (several), Old Macintosh and Commodore 64 (for the older readers but no longer in use)
