Started with computers as a hobby in the early 80's with an Amstrad using CPM, then an IBM compatibile PC (twin 5.25 floppy) onto which I had my first accounts system - Pegasus - based on DOS, running my business.
Although never in the industry, spent countless hours both on the outside and the inside of various systems.
Followed through into Windows 1 and beyond from Amstrad's GEM software.
Never really stopped learning (all self taught) as a hobby up until early 2004, where I changed my hobby to my career.
Now I get paid to learn!
Jack of all trades, dealing with both software and hardware and having limited knowledge of a wide variety of each.
Google and EE have become my best tools.
Most recently, I am getting more involved with data analysis using Excel VBA.
I live in the North of England near Manchester and work from home - so generally whilst I am awake - I am working!
