Greetings, fellow experts,
In 1998 I successfully finished my studies to become an IT systems developer.
Today I work at an IT custom solutions provider in Sittard, Nederland. (8 years as of Nov. 1, 2006, liking every bit of it!)
The knowledge I can offer includes:
MS Windows Platform: Visual Basic (for Apps too), combined with several databases (MS SQL Server, MS Access, AspenTech InfoPlus.21, Oracle8, Oracle9, MySQL), creating distributed apps using IIS, ASP, Smartsite, tapping more and more into Windows Api to create custom solutions.
Cross-platform: development of internet sites using (x)html / xml, JavaScript and css, PHP and MySQL, building distributed (web) applications, best viewed with any browser.
Interface-design: best practices for creation of user interfaces, focusing on accessibility and usability. (OK, it looks well. Now let's make it easy to work with.)
Other things I do:
Music: Composing and playing my own. Computers are great tools in composing. My main musical instrument is the French Horn, but I dabble around.
Magic: Skills include cards and close-up.
Maths: Teaching maths to children who can´t learn it at school.
Articles on a variety of subjects are published on my ever-changing website:
http://www.omegajunior.net/It's mostly written in Dutch. Some of the cross-browser webtech articles are in English.
Imagine!
