I quit my corporate job, Mar/2003.. I supervised 14 staff across Canada. I hated wearing a tie and drinking coffee to stay awake through 5 hour long meetings.
Now I fix PCs, printers and anything else for cash. I'm hoping to grow this into a larger infrastructure consult/deploy company. I want to grow it into a company that does email focused ActiveDir migrations. 5-2000 seats.
The primary thing is: To deploy A/D, your org has to know what the company is structured like now, how it might be structured in 2-3 years and how it might work in 5-10 years. If not, we can do it, but it's not going to be a stable tech platform.
Do you know how long you're going to store your email for? Where (centrally)? If you know for how long, how much and enforce it - I want to kiss you.
I've worked for 9 (and a half!) *grin* years as a support consultant - NT, Cisco, Exchange, Citrix, FreeBSD, hands-on all of it.
First slackware install was in about 1992 -- from 5.25" floppies -- and I still don't believe in vendor certifications.
