A proud husband, a daddy of three daughters and grandpa of seven litte ones!  I was recently disabled after being in business for 30 years in the commercial and residential real estate development industry.  I've done quite a bit in Florida and I've enjoyed great success.  Unfortunately, in 1998 I was forced to retire because of a back injury and lost it all.  I've now started to explore business opportunities on the Internet... I better hurry!  I might just write a book, or a 'How-To' guide related to architectural design, construction techniques, or maybe something like 'How to act Stupid for Dummies'  ... I bought my first computer in 1979!  It was actually called a "Tandy" TRS-80.  It consisted of a regular 'Radio Shack' Audio Cassete Player/Recorder, a 13' Monochrome Monitor a few wires and a little book called 'Basic' .. Imagine that?  It had no memory, no RAM, not even a desktop or a mini-tower.. not even built-in programs or games! I actually created a simple program (on a cassete) that would do construction cost breakdowns for houses and it actually worked!  It took eight weeks... oh, by the way, this 'computer' cost nearly $2,000 and should be in the Smithsonian by now!  I've bought dozens of computers since that day!  Like you, I lost a fortune every time, because by the following week or month, it was already an antique! I love writing and reading and a good movie! I also appreciate good, sound, advice; either giving it or receiving it.  The Lord is also 'central' in my life. His Eternal Love and Abundant Grace soothe me yet they are my driving force!  My motto is; "all things work together for good..."  I am glad to be a part of ExpertsExchange (EE)... Who knows? 38 Plus years in the industry of LIFE! - Experienced on how to make it big and how to lose it big!  I began as a draftsman, designing and producing working drawings at the rate of six homes PER WEEK in a place called Silver Springs Florida in 1969!  Imagine that? I was 19 and newly married.  By age 20 I was a daddy and another on the way... I now have three grown daughters and seven grandchildren! ... back to biz ...  I learned the ins and outs of producing well designed and high quality residential drawings but more important was learning how to design with maximum efficiency while NOT risking elegance and aesthetics!  I excelled in design and was awarded by a few publications.  I expanded into the construction industry by age 22 and then into the entire "game" of development and real estate... My motto was: "From Concept to Completion and Everything In-Between" to perfection. I then began as an investor and co-owned a number of income properties including  a new concept of a National Chain of "Executive Suites" called Corporate Centers of America. That's when I learned how to trust everyone, specially your lifelong friends and end up broke!  I went from zero to millions and back to zero in no time flat!  I've had two wonderful and highly enlightning excursions with wealth and then sadly losing it soon thereafter to theft and greed.  I am preparing for my third excursion into wealth... but I have finally learned that wealth has nothing at all to do with money or a balance sheet!  I am the most blessed man on Earth! Thank God... really It's Him we MUST know and thank!

Seriously, I am actually looking to find a way to capitalize on my diverse experience in design and construction and create a website where people can build their own homes and save at least 30% or more and actually finish it 30% faster and get a much better product in design, efficiency and looks!  It's simple, but I need a webmaster to help me convert this into a well designed website with all sorts of forms and charts and links to suppliers.  It could be a vbig money maker.  I actually started this whole idea and concept long before UBuildit... As King Solomon says; There is Nothing New Under the Sun!  I will need a JV partner or partners who want to invest in sucess!
