Started off with Computers from Unysis that had an IBM electric typewriter as the input/output device.
Further Systems were based on HP 1000 Computers with a RTE-A1 operating system, which might be compared to some early UNIX.
These computers used disk drives of 5 MB which were about 25 KG heavy. My job was to maintain these systems, and also to fix head
crashes etc. I had to travel all over europe doing that and was based in Switzerland.
Eventually PC's started to come into the scene.
I have experiance in DOS, Netware 2.11 - 5.5, Windows 1.0 - XP including the Windows' Server OS's, Exchange and Domino Servers.
Lately I have decided to move more towards Linux, as I just don't like one Company to have so much control over OS's and Application
Software as is the case in the windows world. In my opinion Linux has now reached the stage where it can start taking over the dekstops.
In the area of networking it has long been a serious contestant.
