I started life as a tradesperson and got interested in computers as a hobby. I stumbled upon machine language and quickly taught myself how to program with a manual from the CPU manufacturer and a book on BASIC. I quickly used my knowledge of machine language to write a macro assembler and then made an attempt at writing a C compiler.
I've tried various jobs in the computer industry from teaching, sales, support, service and programming. In 1998 I discovered Quality Assurance and Software Testing. I've been doing that ever since. I still like to program and use my knowledge to create automation scripts and testing tools.
