I am an Active Directory and Exchange Administrator for an ASP company. The majority of my daily work revolves around managing Hosted Active Directory and Exchange users. The company I work for is ground breaking in its application hosting model. We supply a complete online ERP, MES, CRM, and any other acronym you can think of package and have been doing so on the internet for more than 5 years. There really is nothing like us out there and I cannot sing the praises enough of this application. We cater to Manufacturing companies in the Rust Belt, but have Medical, Defense and retail deployments as well. 90% plus of employees can and do write code. We do everything in house, and often find it easier to build our own solution rather than rely upon a third party component or piece of software. I (my position and project) am(are) rather an oddity for the company. I manage an email system that was developed internally that blends seemlessly with our Online application, yet our user base still clamoured for Outlook/Exchange - so here I have a job. This is far from a "Standard" Outlook/AD environment as we script everything that is repetitive, and build Databases to drive HTML GUI pages to make the work easy to manage.
