I'm one of those folks who finds himself in the position of solving other people's problems -- the law of Unintended Consequences has always been good to me. I don't know if that makes me qualified as an expert... but I can make things work.
I went through four distinct changes in technology over the course of a career in newspapers -- five if you want to include the web. Now, I do site development, a little consulting, and work with a few local government agencies on policy development -- mostly planning stuff.
I also edit Experts Exchange's newsletter; if you care to complain about something, you're welcome to write to me (ericp AT cityofangels DOT com), but you should always remember that it might wind up getting published. And no, I don't live in Los Angeles, which isn't really the REAL City of Angels anyway.
