My main areas of expertise are: the java language and computer security. I am the designer and developer of a widely deployed, Common Criteria certified Java product containing various encryption and hashing techniques. I have got strong problem solving skills. I am a proponent of open standards and open source solutions. I've created two Java security providers so far (in working alpha/beta stage), one for a smart card solution and one for an HSM. I've done some work with multi-threading, GUI design, JUnit testing and basic Servlet stuff. I'm also involved in international standardization of a security related protocol. For fun I'm creating an NNTP binary client in Java (it has stalled in the later 1.5 years due to lack of time). I've created (and lost) Java 1.5 source code to solve various kinds of Sudoku's.
Known languages:
Java, C/C++ and a bit of PHP, Perl, Bash, JavaScript
Known algorithms (usage & basic operation and security levels):
RSA, ECDSA F(2m) & F(p), DH, ECDH, SHA-1 & SHA-2 family, MD5, DES, AES (including multiple forms of operation and padding techniques), Secure Random
Known crypto standards (crypto):
X.509v3, PKCS#1 v2.1, PKCS#5, PKCS#7/CMS, PKCS#8, PKCS#11, PKCS#12, XML DigSig
Other known protocols:
TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP + proxy, HTTPS, XML, (X)HTML, CSS, XSD (XML Schema), XPath, RegEx, ASN.1 (DER/DER), NNTP (including uuencoding, yEnc, PAR2), POP3, MIME (including base 64), ISO-7816. I know a bit about LDAP/X.500 and SQL as well.
I'm also well versed on PC hardware and I've got a strong user level knowledge of both Windows 2000, XP and Linux. I've created a now defunct FAQ about DSL from a specific ISP provider in the Netherlands (XS4ALL). I created the initial iptables firewall script that as used in adsl4linux for the linux implementation for the same provider.
Although I'm not a native speaker of English, English is a strong second language to me. Note that it may take some time for me to switch to English (mainly because I've to restart my thought processes in English). I can understand a bit of French and German.
