20 years of hard-earned IT experience, widely ranging from embedded microcontroller systems to "big" irons.
Been working with software development most of the time, as well as sysadmin for some years, now as Systems Architect.
Expert on Unix environments, C/C++ and comms/networking, but has also wrestled with PC's and MS / Intel since 1985 both as professional user and hobbyist.
Educated as electronics engineer, worked early in my career on embedded microcontrollers and programming them, then to software development within telecom and realtime applications mostly on Unix. Now working with more enterprise level architecting and less practical/operational. Unix fan from first expotsure in '88, Linux from '93.
