Full Biography

Graduated from University about a million years ago with a Masters in Mathematics.
I've been a Database Developer since 1998 (wow - that feels old now).
I love Access, always have - it's my preferred environment and I love working in almost every aspect of it.
(Knowing Jet's strengths but acknowledging its limitations is important - there's a tool for every job, hence most of my work involves SQL Server too).

I'm a database developer / consultant / contractor based towards the north of England, working for companies from the north east (Northumberland/Tyne & Wear) down, through South Yorkshire, to the mythical south of England (though I'm not entirely convinced such a place really does exist) .
I like having different clients - the wider the variety the better! I've done a lot of work in the legal sector though.

Day in, day out I do database development / improvement / consultation, MS Office integration, etc. As well as helping out in online forums, creating examples, co-authoring a book and even writing the occasional article.

Please keep questions at the forum for the benefit of all.

Intended for the professional and information worker to learn to design the DATABASE STRUCTURE correctly with various business examples.  (i.e. it does NOT go deeply into application development!)
