I’m a 59-years-old, former Marine, disabled veteran by a grenade explosion that amputated my left leg above the knee while serving in Vietnam.  I’m married, mortgage a home in the 'burbs, have raised five children, the oldest having attained his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, the two youngest are teenagers living at home.  I attained a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, and I devote my time to reading, writing poetry, personal essays, and memoirs.  Although I started writing before my college degree, which I attained May 1990, the degree hasn’t done that much for my writing abilities.  My heart speaks and I record it.

I use my hp a650y (computer) daily and quite often, but I'm not that computer literate other than basic maintenance.  I joined Expert Exchange because I'm tired of paying the enormouse amounts of money for computer techs to come to my house to fix program cliches.  I'm hoping Expert Exchange can help me fix my ignorance and save me some money.  

To end, I use Windows XP Home Edition, running Internet Explorer v.7.0.5730.13, and use (although I don't understand it that well) Windows Live.  Have a nice day all of you.

Bachelor of Arts (Concentration English Literature), Writer/Poet:  Book of poems, i.e. Visions in Depth (Out of print now), published poems in various magazines and newspapers, published a few Personal Essays in newspapers and one or two magazines.  I spend my time in my home office on my computer and reading and writing most of the day.

I enjoy my two yellow Labrador Retrievers, Oscar and Cassius and I enjoy downloading various items on the internet and using softwares such as Nero to burn them to blank CDs or DVDs. I watch sci-fi and action shows, thrillers, and spy shows.
