I am a web system manager(small one :p) dealing mainly with ASP, Javascripts and Oracle.
I also love tackling Excel and VBA problems. Excel is really a fantastic tool and users almost always like to compare systems with Excel. I must admit that Excel far exceeds its versatility than what I did for my web systems. So I always look for ways to improve my web system to be able to emulate some of the functionality of Excel. Javascript is sth close to doing this.

My Expertise

I have become quite an expert in ASP, Javascript, Oracle, MS Excel and MS Word and have been largely exposed to Procurement/Supply Chain Management System and HR System. My latest achievement is in the area of producing high quality complex web reports in Excel/Word with very low cost for my company and also developing a very cheap but effective document archiving and search system.
Lately, I am looking into producing cheap and effective CRM reports for my company system through the use of producing Excel pivot tables and charts. In fact, I have successfully built and used my own built CRM system for monitoring my system usage. It's very effective in understanding which users needed what function and how often. It has also been very effective in quickly addressing problems of low usage and many other things. Similarly, I have hoped to developed a similar customised system to monitor my company's customer sales and needs.
I like technology but in business, it is the effective solution that counts and you don't need the latest technology to do that. The latest technology can give you an edge but what is most important is to optimize the use the technology you have and apply it effectively.
