I've been a database developer since November 2004, following an 8-year absence from the IT workforce as a full-time mom. I have two teenage sons and a husband who might qualify as a third kid. I primarily work with Access and SQL Server with some VB, ASP.net and Excel automation thrown in for good measure.
Previous ventures at work have included flight simulation development, system and network administration (mostly VAX/VMS) and lots of programming in various languages.
Languages picked up along the way in somewhat chronological order and varying degrees of proficiency:
Fortran, Assembly, Pascal, Cobol, C, Ada, JOVIAL, HP Basic, HP-UX, C++, Pig Latin, VBA, VB.net ...
EE has been an indispensible resource for me since 2005, specifically in learning Access which helped restart my career. The Experts frequenting the Access Zones are top notch people.
I enjoy giving back when I can.
I'm a Cleanup Volunteer for the Access Zones and SQL Syntax, and Co-Zone Advisor for the Access Zones.
