I am a true geek at heart. To give you an example, just surpassed 1.4M points on EE on 7/09/2010.
By day, I design, configure and support over 150+ RHEL and Windows 2003/2008 servers and virtual network/firewalls in a private cloud infrastructure.
By night, I run a rather unique network and server architecture in my home office utilizing aspects under virtualization such as VMware vSphere, ESXi and OSS Xen Server. I even have my own fully loaded HP ProLiant DL580 G2 server to actually design and test new features that could be used at work or for the open source community along with an OpenFiler NAS/SAN iSCSI environment. I also have a Sparc V120 server upon which I am running Ubuntu's SPARC distribution to see where improvement can be made and use it for developmental aspects as well. I also volunteer as part of the Drupal.org core in the IRC channels for the high-performance and Drupal in Newspapers group. I am also part of Drupal's PIFR team for testing new modules and core release builds upon a number of virtual servers I have running at home as well.
I have over seventeen years of hands-on, technical and team-lead managerial experience. Since I have been a part of several role-based aspects of the IT industry from everything as a business analyst, database administrator, systems and applications engineer, project manager and enterprise architect, I have the knowledge and understanding of how to make a business run and provide overall return on investment for the services and/or products that are produced.
