PROFILE WARNING!

If this is just another clever way of making anyone with too much time on their hands expose their inner ego for the entertainment of others, then I don't know what this is supposed to achieve other than me rambling on why I think that contributing to such a great cause and how humble I felt when, darnit it seems more likely that someone hopes to get hints from an essay-type-self-analytical-try-to- fill-a-blank-space-that-does-not-need-filling about the password of one's online auction account, I suppose that'll be phishing which may just be the most hypermarketed snippet of mispelled[!] weblingo imaginable.

I won't know why I shouldn't not have done so already, but my gut instinct says NO, so I guess I will not write this.....

Oh well just in case I do end up writing this I best tell you things about me that may fill you with confidence...

ummh,well I have more than 125 Years of breaking and fixing things behind me. And now that I have managed to disproportionally increase the fixing ratio I feel more suited to pass on some of my 'wisdom'.

I am concentrating my efforts on Acrobat TA at present...you can also find me in the lounge.

I am based in the UK so my responses are metric and posted in usual European waking times, I also run a business and have a family so I don't check back half as often as I am expected to, but still twice as much as my wife likes me too.

I am fairly experienced in a variety of subjects but also specialise in common sense and habitualise in adding '...' at the end of sentences. Which is nice.

Oh, and LotusScript is my nemesis.

Always remember, it is entirely plausible that you know more than me, you may just don't know it yet...

++++++++++++++++++++++ A very special poem from the Lounge Fox :+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So tell me O Captain my Captain:

O CAPTAIN! my Captain! is our fearful mug-a-tron done;
The page is colored every spot, the prize we sought for fun;
The day is near, the bells I hear, the people all are waiting,
While follow eyes the steady hand, the mouse poised and daring:
    But O heart! heart! heart!
      O the ticking of the clock
        Where on the CPU my Captain waits,
          For all the pictures he'll unlock

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up for you the Lizards wait for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribbon'd wreaths for you the threads a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
    Here Captain! dear Captain!
      This ode to  your dear head;
        It is some dream that my Captain waits
          With pictures in his head

My Captain does not answer, his lips are tight and still;
My Captain does not feel my pain, for him to post at will;
The page is anchor'd safe and sound, its launch not yet begun;
From I wait to demonstrate and come in with object won;
    Exult, O Lizards, and ring, O bells!
      But I, may morning dread
        Await the time my Captain sighs,
        And starts his muggy thread.

FIRST! - From the April 21st, 2010 Newsletter:
First screencast answer: willsherwood asked a fairly straightforward question about optimizing a PDF (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web_Development/Document_Imaging/Adobe_Acrobat/Q_25145115.html) , and captainreiss gave him an answer the good old-fashioned way. When that didn't work, captainreiss used a screencast to show the steps, and got the Good Answer! email -- the first one that involved using EE's latest system.

So. Close. Hence: Who will thread. Great poem by cleo.

Oh you mastermind of deception,
how you stumble us with you cryptic trickery.
Setting our minds ablaze,
as we wander in a daze.

All day long we try to figure out
what you thread is all about
and when we are close to a guess
we are really lost you confess

Experts-Exchange Lounge: 149,999 (1 more points until Guru). Thx. SG, you have broken EE, subsequent PAQs resulted in EmailTemplateTag replacement not found: TA_PATH  (ID: 23) errors, which prompted:
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Community_Support/EE_Bugs/Q_26434292.html

Seemed that SG poinked me to within one and then coral's shotgun went pppprrrrrffffftttttttttt and hit the pink santa sculpture which must have knocked off the mail templatigator in the EE engine room.

_alias99 and cleo went digging and uncovered a couple of mystic levers which when pulled cause world peace, the moon landings and the guru cert reactivation finally untangling the mess.
