Born July1975 and Programming since '84 on my ZX Spectrum in Basic and Z80 Assembler.

Now a full time applications developer for a Direct Marketing Company although i have had many years experience on PC Build and Repair Benches and supporting users of all levels of experience with all levels of computing issues. My Programming 'Weapon of Choice' is still Basic  (VB4/5/6 -7 years, .NET 3-4 years, now mostly VS2005) although i am known to write code in C# or even Java when i need to (fortunately quite rarely).

I am not point-obsessed and i enjoy offering longer, more complete, answers to fewer people and questions rather than banging out multiple answers via posting links. Usually, if i have gotten involved in your question I will do my best to follow the thread through to its close and help you find a solution or at least offer feedback, suggestions and extensions to existing comments where relevant.

I'm a good all-rounder often with an answer to most questions, or at the very least a good suggestion or opinion on the matter but I'm rather sensitive - Please respect me! I do this, like most experts here, for fun and personal/community knowledge gain, in my personal time and not for financial rewards; if you abuse me or try to detract from my contributions, I will withdraw from your question, sometimes without comment, and ensure that I never partipate in your questions again (and report you to the site administrators as i deem fit).
