Personal Description
I started my career in IT as a service desk operator, supporting Electronic Banking software for one of Belgium's largest banks.
I then got promoted to second line support, where at first I was responsible for supporting users at head office with their daily problems with software and computer hardware. Later I moved my field of expertise to the physical network (configuring routers, IP-routing, cabling, ...).
I finally ended up in LAN server support where I was responsible for keeping the servers up and running and implement maintenace changes etc.
As an extra I got to be the administrator for the Lotus Notes environment as well.
After a few years experience in support as system admistrator, I thought it would be time for a change, so I quit my job at the bank to become a Notes consultant.
After three years of loyal service for the consultant company I was fired, because they couldn't find a new project for me (or so they claimed) which left me looking for a new job.
I reapplied for a job at my former employer, KBC and until the end of 2005 I developed Notes applications, both for the client and for web use, using Release 5.
Since the 1st of January I made the move toward Microsoft.Net development, since Notes is no longer part of the strategic organization.
My hobbies include tennis, traveling, geocaching, going to the movies and going out with friends.
My favourite computer games are of the RPG-type like Eye of the Beholder or more recently Diablo II (I'm still addicted).
My biggest passion though, is my oldtimer : a Ford Capri from 1979.
