Hi, thanks for checking my profile. If you want to contact me privately you can email me at: dasmaer >at< rembi >dot< co >dot< uk - but make sure that any question you ask directly also get posted somewhere on EE in line with the terms and conditions.
My experience is with mainly with database driven applications. I have experience with MS Access (we all started somewhere, and no, I don't recommend using it for anything bigger than a few hundred records), MySQL, Oracle and DB2... I'd say my SQL is pretty solid.
On the interface side I'm a dab hand at this HTML malarkey as well as dHTML (the stuff AJAX was built on for those who forgot). Although I don't actually know any PHP per say I do use it all the time when knocking up apps with small projected loads. I've worked quite extensively with Java and JSP's using JSTL (tag-libraries), if you've never used tag libs then you're missing out... so handy and excellent for use when you're separating web-techs from web-designers (I'm not a designer if you're wondering).
As well as the Java and PHP I used to write stuff in Perl and C... and still write some stuff in C for web apps - mostly though for the configuration side of things more than on the delivery end. Currently I'm working on a Skills and Expertise tracking system, consisting of a web interface, PHP intermediary system and MySQL database; and I'm also working on Wx which an open source cross-platform GUI framework, particularly the WxCocoa framework for making native-looking Mac applications.
I'm based in Europe, so if you're in the US (particularly West Coast) and all of a sudden I've stopped posting on your question for about 10 hours... it's probably because I went to bed!
Thanks for stopping by, if you're answering a question I posted, you're help is deeply appreciated.
