I am the entire IT department for a small nonprofit. It's definitely been a challenge because although I'm fairly strong in software, my networking experience consists of one whole class! We use a terminal server (also very new to me) & have 4 servers - 1) data server, 2) reporting server, 3) exchange server, & 4) main terminal server. We use an outside consultant, which gets expensive, plus one of the consultants talks to me like I'm an idiot. (Being a beginner & being an idiot are two separate things in my opinion). I love this site so far because everyone makes a point to break things down to where I can understand them!
