Hi,

My name is João Pinto, I live in Portugal, near Lisbon.

Since I know my shelf, I've been interested in computers, not the hardware part, but the software area, more particulary the programming area. I've started programming in GW Basic, almost 20 years ago! I've worked with all versions of Windows, starting on the 3.1 version, passing on the 95, 98, Me and now on XP. I'm not so curious about the Vista version (yet!?).
I started doing somethings in VBA while working with Excel and Access but soon I had the needs to go far and I discovered VB6. This jump was because a friend of mine (jpaulino) was always puching me to make the jump to this language. I was fascinated by the power of this development language and last year I went for the VB 2005 version. I'm now looking foward to try the VB 2008 version.
I'm a self-taught person. I read lots of books that I buy mostly from Amazon and articles that I get from the Internet. I'm always interested on learning new techniques and discover new techologies. I also make small websites for people who ask me, more for the pleasure to try new things and to discover new ways to do things, rather for the money.
