From my bio at work
As the first employee of the new iStrategy division of 1parkplace, Mr. Ferguson is primary point for fulfillment of the daily operations of search engine marketing activities for a growing number of online customers. Working closely with iStrategy Staff to develop business plans and organize the business process for the iStrategy division, his duties include search engine optimization for 1parkplace.com when time allows, and for iStrategy top tier clients such as nationally leading top real estate sales producing teams of Neuman & Neuman and the Gellens of La Jolla. Mr. Ferguson also oversees multiple pay per click campaigns. Due to his hands on experience at homes.com as both a PPC/SEO consultant, and a high level of expertise at the agency level working at one of the top fifty interactive agencies in the United States in both analytics and search marketing Mr. Ferguson continues to excel in the field of Search Marketing as new trends emerge.
Prior to joining 1parkplace Inc., Mr. Ferguson was a Search Marketing Consultant for MEA Digital, where he managed multiple national PPC campaigns. While working on ESETs Antivirus PPC international campaign Mr. Ferguson was responsible for nearly doubling the companys daily sales while decreasing paid advertising costs. In doing this he doubled the effectiveness of paid search dollars measured in Cost Per Sales (CPS), as he was able to decrease the CPS for this national account from %30, down to %10 within the first 30 days of consulting, and only let it rise again to avoid a "spiky" monthly report that might catch the attention of clients.
Educated on the central California coast, Mr. Ferguson attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in I.T. with a concentration in Industrial Sales and Marketing in 2001. His passion for internet marketing was apparent even in college where he authored a 60 page senior project prospectus where he documented a process flow any small business could follow to begin an online marketing effort from hardware to web presence. His knowledge in SEO/PPC is merely and expansion of this base knowledge and continues to expand daily with his growing passion and expertise within online marketing strategies.
Thats it. Sounds great. Thanks for our PR department for that one!
On a personal note, while living in San Luis Obispo, I first because aware of Expert Exchange after speaking with one of the co-founders over a drink one night at Mother Tavern. For this reason, I have always kept on eye on this website and the growing company with an admiration one could only have for home. Unfortunately, I did not have the experience get one of the few tech jobs in SLO, and thus have since made my home Mission/Pacific Beach in San Diego.
