I am a self employed Pc Engineer and live in Dorset with my wife Lesley, and have two grown up children.
I have been in the Engineering industry since leaving school and  I am a qualified Technician Engineer in mechanical engineering. I spent 22 years in the Army as an Artificer weapons. On leaving the Army I ran my own Central Heating company (oftec & corgi registered), until 3 years ago when I developed osteo-arthritis of the spine, and could no longer carry out heavy manual work. As I had  been "playing" with computers since the 80's (yes I had an Amiga, commodor 64 and I do remember Dos which I used on my first real pc a 386 - really slow by todays standards ), I decided to peruse a career in computing and funded myself through a year of training and achieve both an ECDL and Comptia qualification. I am also currently studying a networks course at home.
I have now been running a small repair, installation and supply of new computer company successfully since April 2006, I have also built a high end (overclocked)games machine (playing Bioshock & jericho at present) and set up up a small lan (linked to internet through a broadband connection)in my house.
I do not consider myself an expert yet, but I do have considerable experience with pc's - and hope to be able top pass this on.
