I'm employed as a Systems Engineer and work primary with MS Windows Server 2003/2008 systems, but also some unix-based server systems.
I'm a scripting guy with the opinion that "once is never, twice is a script" and use KiX, VB, CMD, unix-shell scripting. Combining this with that I'm one of the monitoring guys in our IT organization, I try to automate monitoring tasks as often I can.
As I prefer to navigate and manage stuff through command line, I really like that MS has atlast released a real server OS (Server Core) that is stripped down to only serve that it's supposed to do without any unnecessary graphical "features".
