A few things to note:
DO NOT send me email through my corporate web site asking me to look at a question. Particularly do not do that if you are based in the UK, as that is just cheeky (you should be hiring me). I review all questions that are in the Exchange zone as a matter of course. I also pick up most questions that refer to Exchange in other zones.
I routinely unsubscribe from questions that I participated in but was not awarded any points. Therefore if you are hoping for a follow up from me in a question where I did not get points you will be disappointed.
Just to make this clear - you close a question, you don't give me points, I unsubscribe and will not participate in that question any longer - even if if you have made an error in the points allocation and ask for it to be corrected. My time is too valuable to assist people who do not show any appreciation of my work or are unable to operate the site correctly.
I also unsubscribe from questions where I am ignored. If I tell you that something is bad practise or will cause a problem, but you go ahead and do it anyway, then I am not going to assist you in resolving the problem that it caused. Why should I waste my time if you are just going to ignore what I have written? I do not get 6 million points in ten months if I don't know what I am on about.
I do not participate in questions for less than 50 points - that isn't worth my time, particularly if more than one expert gets involved. If I do post in a question worth 50 points and someone else gets involved, then I unsubscribe immediately. The split of points between two or more experts makes it very small.
Experts - DO NOT rip off my work. I always complain and ask for it to be removed - no exceptions. Link to my web site/blog or previous answer, but do not attempt to pass off my work as your own.
