Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, I'm responsible for link building/client online promotion and content ideation and development. In addition to this I'm in charge of the Vizion SMB program that caters to various niches and  sizes. I’m in charge of SEO for the Vizion website and am expanding my knowledge daily in order to begin working on Vizion SEO projects. I assist the sales team with client site research and initial auditing and test out/master new tools that  the Vizion team reviews and considers for  both internal and client projects. I am also in charge of link auditing and have taken on the role of CSM (client service manager) for some Vizion clients. In addition to this I head up Vizion's LLM program (Local Listing Management) in order to help our localized client gain control of their local listings throughout the Internet. I help promote Vizion online by contributing to our company blog as well as by writing a monthly column for The Marketing Pilgrim and guest blogging for other industry publications.

Clients have included: Interstate Batteries, Worldwide Power Products, KU Med, Invitation Homes, Boston’s Restaurant and Studio Movie Grill.

Full Biography

I got my start in SEO by working for a non-profit in Kansas City as their Director of Development. I was responsible for raising funds by way of writing grants, organizing fundraisers and other means I could come up with. I got pretty good at setting up golf tournaments (which I love to do). In addition to this, I was supposed to keep the website up to date and maintained. The more time I spent on the website the more I was pulled in. Our CEO came to me one day asking if we could increase our online visibility. My budget to accomplish this was zero. So after searching for ‘cheap marketing online’,
I found out about SEO. The more I learned about SEO the more I wanted to apply it to our site and others I had some access to. It didn’t take long for our organization to start ranking in the top ten for the terms we were targeting. There were a few skeptics within leadership, but after we got a few teams to go on mission trips with us by finding us on Google, all became believers. After a few years at this company, I decided to step out and get involved in the search industry full time.
