I'm doing computer courses with the OU and work in Intellectual Property. I have BSc(Hons) in Physics and Maths.
Current system is HP Pavilion 7880 (UK) running WinMe. Current projects mainly XHTML/CSS2 and stuff to do with sound recording (recording sermons).
Latest project (or should that be .project ?? <chuckle>) is installing Slackware-GNU/Linux on old IBM Thinkpad 755cx ... wish me luck. Also currently trying to "grok the Gimp"! (under win32).
Update: gave up on the TP755cx and reinstalled Win95! Have installed Slackware 9 on the Pavilion (on a new HDD)... some problems getting modem going but otherwise OK. Next up Mandrake?
Update Jan 2004: Have finished DipComp with Open University; also TP755cx was stolen and now have R40e running WinXP; Pavilion has just had to be re-installed following TCP/IP corruption; Now triple booting WinMe/Slackware9.1/Mandrak

Update Oct 2004: Currently running WinXP (SP2) and Slackware10. Have dabbled with RH9 and FC1 and 2 as well as Mandrake 10, also made quite a bit of use of Knoppix. Otherwise, got into more graphical (svg and swf) stuff too.

http://www.barefoot-ceramics.comUpdate Jan 2005: To help make ends meet I've been _working_ as a web developer since Dec '04. Which would be ideal if it was the only job I had!! Anyway, I've heavily in to PHP now and hating MS with a vengance.
