Member Profile:
I am electrical engineer (MSc EE) since 1967. My first PC was commodore 8032 (1981) 64k RAM and HDD of 512 k !!!!! In the last time I begun the programming. In the first time (1994) 4D database handling and Excel 5 VBA macros (german version both), in 1999 I tried to learn Delphi. But programming is only my hobby - I may say so.
I speak a little bit english, french, russian and the best is the german. And the hungarian , of course. I am living in Budapest / Hungary.
Kacor was the name of my cat.
Since 2003 I am retired so I can play whole the day (eg. programming, Experts-Exchange, etc). Now I have 1024 k ADSL-connection to the internet.

In 1998 I decided to realize a project. First I searched for a programing tool so I found the Delphi. Then I searched for a database I found InterBase. May be I have no sufficient knowledge to realize what I want but I'm trying. As parergon, in the meantime I wrote a database handling course for beginner using Delphi on HTML-base of 12 MB reachly illustrated by screenshots and  I finished an InterBase book in hungarian with a lot of screenshots to make easier the life of the beginners but with examples and descriptions which are useful for the experts too. The whole book is created on HTML base (using FrontPage 2000) the size is somewhere between 60-70 MB. The book is an e-book on CD.

I said my friends this is the case of Körösi Csoma Sandor. He was a big hungarian orientalist researcher (born 1784) who to search the origin of the hungarian people went in 1820 from Egypt to Kabul then to Tibet - mostly by foot - and in the years 1831..1834 in Calcutta he created the first great Tibetan-English dictionary and the Tibetan Grammar. He was 58 knowing 17 living and dead languages (!!) , having unmeasurable knowledge as he want to go to the Library of the Dalai Lama in Tibet to continue the search but in India he died in malaria in 1842. He didn't found the origin of the hungarians but created a dictionary. This is fast the same case. I wrote a handbook, may be I'll never realize my original dream but I have created an e-book.
