I decided to stop answering questions in the java TA (except from some per month to keep my premium account).
Why? I'm fed with the tons of criticism I get in return for spending my time trying to answer questions.
1) Colleague-experts attack your comments in order to get the points themselves.
2) Admins and PE's indirectly attack me for being here for the points: "We're here to help others, not for the points."
My answer: "My ass! If that's the case why does EE keep rankings and presents the yearly Expert Awards?"
3) Question authors feel attacked if I ask the simple informative question: "Why do you think that is NOT the right way?"
and (too) rarely say "Thank you" when you provide the correct answer.
I was rather enthusiastic when I started commenting. It was fun, but that's over now.

My deepest respect for CEHJ, TimYates and aozarov who I admire for - besides spending time and answering Q's - their integrity towards question authors à nd other experts.
Keep up the good work you three!
Absolutely NO respect for one specific expert whose name I'm apparently not allowed to type here.
[ I did but an EE admin removed it. Yes, this things not only happen in China but also here @ EE :( ]
I'm talking about one of the java language top experts who proves that knowledge, graduates and a top ranking are no guarantee for a pleasant human.
And if some EE admin will remove the above paragraph again, I'm done with EE.
