Personal Description

[13-apr-2006]
I decided to stop answering questions in the java TA (except from some per month to keep my premium account).
Why? I'm fed with the tons of criticism I get in return for spending my time trying to answer questions.
1) Colleague-experts attack your comments in order to get the points themselves.
2) Admins and PE's indirectly attack me for being here for the points: "We're here to help others, not for the points."
My answer: "My ass! If that's the case why does EE keep rankings and presents the yearly Expert Awards?"
3) Question authors feel attacked if I ask the simple informative question: "Why do you think that is NOT the right way?"
and (too) rarely say "Thank you" when you provide the correct answer.

I was rather enthusiastic when I started commenting. It was fun, but that's over now.

My deepest respect for CEHJ, TimYates and aozarov who I admire for - besides spending time and answering Q's - their integrity towards question authors ànd other experts.
Keep up the good work you three!

Absolutely NO respect for one specific expert whose name I'm apparently not allowed to type here.
[ I did but an EE admin removed it. Yes, this things not only happen in China but also here @ EE :°( ]
I'm talking about one of the java top experts who proves that knowledge, graduates and a top ranking are no guarantee for a pleasant human.
And if some EE admin will remove the above paragraph again, I'm done with EE.
