Although not limited to any particular platform, my preferred platform is Delphi.  More recently, I have been working a bit with Java and J2EE stuff, mostly learning it the hard way.

Most of my projects have centered around significant database infrastrucutres, including some distributed.  I'm a bit of a performance freak. After three years of 24x7 on-call I developed a highly personal interest in software reliability and testing.

When not programming, I enjoy medeval re-enactment.  I am working on a set of arrows now, and hopefully will be building a longbow. I enjoy watching the fighters
