I'm the technology/network/database administrator for a small non-profit.

I started out as a teenager playing stupid ascii text games on my best friend's TRS-80 model 1 with 4K of RAM. I have used a wide variety of systems since, including various versions of Windows, Mac OS, and Netware. I vaguely remember punch cards, but never had to use them myself.

I'm quite proficient with desktop publishing and graphics software, familiar with a wide range of productivity/office  applications. I know tons of pointless trivia about various applications both useful and obscure. I also enjoy interesting music, weird movies, good literature, and wasting inordinate amounts of time playing various computer games. I'm not much of a programmer, but I can usually muddle through the implementation of a simple algorithm.

I enjoy reading software documentation.

I like Linux, though the feeling does not seem to be mutual.

I still miss my Amiga.  

I recently became a grandfather, which is exciting and fun in a scary, impending-mortality sort of way.
