I've been an independent consultant for 11 years, running my own small consulting company.

Now I work primarily (though not exclusively) with Microsoft software development software:
   Visual Basic.NET (VB.NET)
   C-Sharp (C#)
   Active Server Pages.NET (ASP.NET)
   Visual Basic 6 (VB6)
   SQL Server
   HTML, XHTML, XML, JavaScript, VBScript
   a bit of APL, C, C++, Java, LISP, RPG
I also know many, many other computer languages, plus a tiny bit of German and Spanish.
I used to do a lot of work with C in Unix.

I have in depth knowledge of data acquisition systems, particularly related to environmental engineering.
I have strong interests in ontologies for knowledge representation, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, the semantic web, and all areas of science and technology.
I'm also very keen on making software development available to everyone.  It's got to become simple enough for "the man on the street" to produce powerful, useful applications.

I live in the beautiful State of Colorado, in Denver metro area.  I love to get out and hike.
