I was working on a lot of VBA apps and document automation which is what first brought me to EE and earned >100k points in the MS Office TA, lack of time around 2003 (Baby #1 etc!) took me away from the site. After getting over the fact that point inflation meant my hard earned 100k points was pretty worthless now (questions used to be often 50 points not 500...) I did start again more in 2006 (after baby #2) and since SteveGTR left the MSDOS area was actually able to get over 500k points there inbetween everything else ...

As of the end of September 2009 I will be visiting here less.  Baby #3 due to be born over the coming weeks and frankly hacked off with a few of the handling of last few questions I've dealt with.

It seems that question askers are allowed to get away with what they like and delete questions on a whim or leave them unfinished, but after asking someone to raise another question on a related issue (which he did) a Mod comes along and first of all decides the second question needs deleting, then the points should be dropped as it was related to the first and takes objection to me asking why this was so leaving me with a "black mark" on my member comments.  Maybe it got me on a bad day but it makes be feel I can't be bothered to make EE money for themselves, answering questions for free when the only rewards of points is taken away.

Always looking for paid short-term contract/consultancy work anywhere or longer term roles in the UK Midlands.  rates very reasonable!
