I'm a network engineer, former teacher, former project manager/system developer, former IT manager, former officer in the Swedish army.
I bought my first computer in -96 and from then on I'm hooked. I started off emmidiately with rebuilding the PC i bought and got myself a homepage and started toying with that.
The computer interest made me look for a career in that field in the military and i studied to become network and database administrator and teacher.
I teached operating personnel how to manage the armys information system (routing, databases, mail servers, microsoft network, DNS... You get the picture :-) ) from 1998 to 2000.
Then I left the army for the civilian world and became IT-manager for a e-learning company. That company went bankruptcy in 2001 so I went to another employement as project manager/system developer on mostly microsoft platforms including mobile devices. Then I found another job as teacher in computer associated areas with the benefit of not having to job travel, and today I'm working at ABB in my hometown as network engineer.
I live in a house in Västerås with my wife, son and daughter.
I really enjoy being a member of this place, since it is the best source of knowledge I found this far. Books and manuals can give lots of information, but they can never give you the "real life" knowledge that EE provides.
I started off signing up at this place when I had a few developing problems back in december 2002. I didn't do much more than that until november 2003 when I started participating actively. Now I'm in it for, what I believe, will be a long term relationship.
Sad to say, my current job doesn't allow me to devote enough time for EE so I haven't been able to help out at all lately. I hope I can return to the forums in a near future.
