Higher National Certificate in Computing, which isn't enough to get me an I.T. position, but I have quite a number of years hands-on experience resolving computer-related problems and building, modifying, and repairing PC systems.  If I had had the money I would no doubt hold some proper certificates by now.

If I don't know the answer straight off, I will do my best to find out because I hate unresolved issues.

I finally got my head around the idea that I really had to totally migrate from Win98se to WinXP, just as Vista came out, and that's how the story goes...!

I try to install and use as much Open Source software as I can as a preference to splashing out for overpriced and bloated retail software that doesn't do anything else other than what I need it to do.

I really admire software developers who have consistently kept all or many of their programs and utilities absolutely free for public use, despite being fantastic software in every way.  A few examples:

I have done various forms of legal investigation for a living, spanning about 15 years.

I wish I had more spare time to play my guitars and do some recording, but that would mean taking a respite break from Experts-Exchange.  That's something I find very hard to do.
