Higher National Certificate in Computing, which isn't enough to get me into a "big" I.T. position, but I have quite a number of years hands-on experience resolving computer-related problems and building, modifying, and repairing PC systems.

If I don't know the answer straight off, I will do my best to find out because I hate unresolved issues.

Finally got my head around the idea that I really had to totally migrate from Win98se to WinXP, but still hanging back on Vista until I can afford PCs with the spec to run it properly!

Dabbling with Linux, and have tried most from Live CD.
Linux Mint Lite v 4.0 seems to offer what I need, so I'll probably go with that or Ubuntu for a full install.

I try to install and use as much Open Source software as I can as a preference to splashing out for overpriced retail software that doesn't do anything else that I need it to do.

What spare time? I don't have any :-)
