The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. vfp8, button mouseclicks late...Please Read!

Ok, this one should b a simple 1... i hope.  I am having the problem where I am allowing the user to "find the next record where something = something else"... that works fine, but while the scan... endscan is running, I have some buttons disabled.  The problem that I am having is that the buttons on my form become disabled(add, edit, save... etc.) when the user clicks "search next", and when the scan is completed, they become enabled.  If the user clicks "search next", then clicks a spot where a button is disabled anywhere on the form during the scan, nothing happens (because it is disabled, and also because the scan... endscan is still processing), but as soon as the scan... endscan is complete and the buttons become enabled again their click events are called.  This happens as if the user clicked an enabled button AFTER the scan... endscan was completed, when in fact they clicked a DISABLED button WHILE the scan... endscan was in progress.  I am baffled by this, I don't remember earlier versions of VFP having this problem, and am looking to disable this in general.  For instance, the user should never be able to click a button ten times before code is finished executing from the first click... and VFP executing the code 10 times in a row, instead of once.  Please help me out with this 1, Carl... or anybody else for tha tmatter, r u awake? lol
